So "Why is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?"

I've pondered so much about this question and tried asking my best friend Google for an answer but didn't search hard enough, didn't find the answer and left it be since the time I watched Alice in Wonderland.

The answer came from someone who needs to be both credited and unnamed.

"Because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front."

In the original preface, "never" was spelled "nevar" which is "raven" backwards. According to the source, the answer was also intended as a pun, itself.

I get it...but I still don't get it.
